Hollie and Ivan's Wedding

By: Chrystal Park

Hollie and Ivan contacted our team to coordinate their fairytale fall wedding and their day was absolutely magical! Hollie and Ivan actually met in Disney Hong Kong while Hollie was working as a Disney princess! They shared many Skype/phone sessions for a year and their relationship quickly blossomed. Fast forward to their wedding day where family and friends flew from out of the country to witness these two exchange their vows in sunny SoCal.

Hollie and Ivan's wedding day was filled with love and everlasting memories. One of our favorite moments during the ceremony was when Hollie and her dad were escorted in a vintage blue car. It was such a sweet moment for a father daughter to share one last ride before walking down the aisle. There were plenty of joyful tears shed during the ceremony and everyone cheered for the newly Mr. and Mrs. Kwan! The guests got to enjoy delicious tray passed appetizers provided by Canyon Catering. But everyone was excited for dinner. How can you not after seeing the truck roll in?

The newlyweds served In N Out burgers for dinner as well as a DIY mac n cheese bar! Need we say more? Guests got to order their cheeseburgers or double doubles animal style then top off their mac n cheese with bacon, mushrooms, bread crumbs or jalapenos. For sweets, they had a candy bar filled with a variety of chocolates and hard candy for guests to enjoy. Hollie and Ivan also own a photobooth company so the guests got to take pictures throughout the evening and put it in a frame as a keepsake. Everyone danced the night away under the stars and got to send the couple off with a sparkler exit! Brandon Wong Photography did an amazing job capturing each moment and below are just a few of our favorites!

Elizabeth + Jonathan's Wedding

Elizabeth and Jonathan tied the knot over the summer at the beautiful Muckenthaler Mansion in Fullerton, CA. These two college sweethearts met at UCSD while studying for their undergraduate degrees. They continued to date while they went their separate ways for grad school. Jon patiently waited as Liz finished earning her degree and God blessed their relationship for 6 years! Liz has a keen eye for style and you can see it throughout their wedding. Everything was planned with careful attention and detail, even down to the bridesmaids dresses.

Family and friends started to arrive for their summer outdoor ceremony which took place in the Rose Garden. They got to witness these two become Mr. and Mrs. and pray over them as they began their new journey as husband and wife. Guests got to enjoy cocktail hour at the boba bar, provided by Cha for Tea. They got to select between 'his-almond milk tea' or 'her-honey green milk tea' drinks. Each guest got their own mason jar which doubled as an escort card! The newly Mr. and Mrs. entertained their guests with a choreographed first dance. The night was filled with laughter, love and unique party favors. They had a live watercolor station where Dianuh, from Chasing Linen, gifted guests with their own personalized gift. Liz also repurposed all of her ceremony florals into a floral station where guests made their own floral pins for a keepsake! The guests got to enjoy late night ice cream provided by Carmela's and danced the night away! Tommy and Connie from The Great Romance did an excellent job capturing all the details!

Les Mis to Les Mrs

I feel so honored and blessed to be a bridesmaid for my dear friend, Jen. I have known her for almost 4 years now, but it feels like I have known her forever! We have so much in common but yet we are total opposites. I think that is why we get along so well! Planning for her bridal shower was so much fun and all the bridesmaids knew exactly what theme to do. Our literature loving bride to be loves reading on her free time, so why not do a book themed shower?

Guests were welcomed by a DIY floral wall photobooth station with props inspired by The Great Gatsby. We asked guests to leave the bride to be some advice, but not just any advice. Sarah Ku, from Arts by Sarah Ku, asked the guests to write a one liner advice, just like how authors write a one line dedication. Sarah Ku did an amazing job with all the calligraphy signs. She used black paper and accented it with gold ink. She also framed some famous quotes by literary geniuses and that tied the theme together really well. We placed old vintage books throughout the space and added fresh blooms to add some color to all the neutral toned furniture. Guests were then welcomed to enjoy some savory bites that was prepared by the co-maid of honors. I mean, just look at all of that deliciousness! We enjoyed the rest of the shower by playing some games and couldn't help but giggle while the bride to be opened her gifts. The guests all took home a personalized mini succulent as a party favor and just like that, the shower was a huge success!!!
