As California is currently experiencing some heavy rain this week, I am wishing it was summer so I could walk along the white sand beaches of Hawaii. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love California but it's always nice to get away for a bit. Last year, our team got to coordinate our very first destination wedding in Oahu, Hawaii. We had so much fun working with a California bride and Michigan groom. Their wedding was held on one of the hottest days in Hawaii. I'm not even exaggerating! Even the locals were commenting on how hot and humid it was. But you can't even tell by the gorgeous pictures, taken by Jerome Park. The bride was very hands on with the design and decor. She put a lot of time on all the DIY projects like their invitations, programs and reception decor. Sharon absolutely loves turtles, so it was only fitting to get married at Turtle Bay Resort. Hints of turtles were everywhere in their decor. Even down to the bridesmaids robes! The ceremony took place outdoors in the pavilion and guests got to enjoy some lava flows during cocktail hour. The reception took place outdoors under a clear tent and guests got to watch the sunset during dinner service. The rain and humidity did not stop this couple and their guests from celebrating and dancing the night away.
